Driving Test

 


Ellie is our host for the new Allsorts challenge of Men and Boys or Anything Goes if you prefer.

My card is for a young man who has an upcoming Driving Test. I used stamps from Visible Image and fussy cut out the card. The background is a gelli print and two stencilled and stamped squares. The "L" plate I stamped with a Clarity Alphabet stamp in red, edged in black and then cut in half. The Congrats die is an old one from Roxstamps (not sure they are still trading).

Such a sharp and energetic design. The geli print adds great movement behind the focal image, and the stenciled squares give it a modern structure that really suits a masculine theme. The split L plate is such a clever detail for a driving test card, and the fussy‑cut car pops beautifully against the layered background. The whole piece feels bold, confident and perfectly tailored for the occasion.
