Newsprint

 

I used a stamp by Jamie Rodgers called Newsprint for this card. Some of the sections I wanted to ink to highlight and frame with the Lawn Fawn dies weren't in the right place. So I cut them out and doubled them up as I wasn't using the whole stamped image.

I wasn't sure how to then add some background interest. I was going through a paper pad and found this off cut from a die. I cut across the corner of it and then used it behind the stamped image. the birthday sentiment stamp and die from Julie Hickey Then fitted nicely into the gap.

As I used a snippet I am off to The Snippets Playground with this card. My main snippet is above but the frames were also cut from snippets too.

I'm also entering this card into the As You Like It Challenge for favourite occasion (and why). I love creating birthday cards, especially if I can personalise it to the recipient in some way.
