Merry Rudolph Day

You might remember I said the stag from the die cut the other day would make an appearance, and here he is. He just totally blended into the background on the last card, but he can shine on this CAS card. I used a CC stamp but instead of the script stamp that goes over it I used a Funky Fossil ransom note alphabet die set and the snippet from the previous card to cut out the word Christmas. The snowflakes were left over from the previous card and a couple cut from the snippets too.

I used DI to stamp with as I wanted a distress and not solid look. I also thought this would help the letters stand out, although I did brush them with some ink. Then I thought maybe Merry should be in red? So, I ended up making another card, and this time cutting the stag from another part of the paper pad.

The light inking with DI scorcbed timber seems to have given him a face! Or is it just me?

At least I have two masculine Christmas cards now - yipee! Thanks for your get well wishes, I am feeling so much better now.

I'm entering the first card into Rudolph Days challenge and also into The Snippets Playground. Sorry no photo of the snippets, got carried away!

Both cards are fabulous Lynn. And yes, the 2nd stag does have a face from where I'm sat sitting! Love your idea of splitting the sentiment right through the middle. Delighted you're feeling better - three runs around the Playground chased by Dudley might be on the cards next!
Hugs

The stag looks fantastic on this clean design, especially with the softer distress inking that gives him such character. The ransom‑style lettering adds a bold, modern twist to the classic image, and the scattered snowflakes tie everything together with just the right touch of movement. The second version really does read as if he has a face, which gives it unexpected charm. A great pair of masculine Christmas cards with clever use of snippets throughout.

Wonderful large MERRY sentiment, with the script overtop. Your deer is so week cut from this paper. Definitely the sponging of the deer bring out more detail. Loll xx
