Hydrangeas in the garden

Gail is our host at the new Allsorts challenge this time. She's chosen an optional theme of "In the Garden" or of course you can use Anything goes.

I've had this Lisa Horton Hydrangea stencil and die set for some time and finally got to play with it. I do love hydrangeas and their various colours. For my first card I used shades of pink and a piece of paper from a CC paper pad to mat with. I used a Julie Hickey foilable with rose gold foil. I had this very small snippet of rose gold mirri left which I thought made a passable frame. I then used a TL die to cut a butterfly from some of the mirri and a tiny butterfly die from an Advent calendar (maybe by CC?).

The one below was another attempt and this time I went for blues/purples. I had already made the stencilled background (I think it's a Aall & Create one), but I just cut part of it for this card. Then I stamped the circles in the centres using an old freebie mag stamp. The sentiment is a Julie Hickey die cut.

We have two prizes of Lavinia stamps

Looks very pretty in both colour ways Lynn, unusually for me I think I prefer the blue one, maybe it's the stencilled panel which draws the eye.

What a lovely pair of cards, Lynn. The first looks so artsy and I love the addition of the golden butterfly. The second one reminds me of the hydrangea we have in the garden.
Hope you are well,
