Balloons

A very long time ago I took a snippet of card and tried out this CC embossing folder and I didn't like it! When I saw the challenge at Can You Handle the Pressure was for a Twist of Balloons I decided to get it out again.

I had coloured it previously and I think with the brown card it just wasn't showing up too well. Now, armed with my Gansai gold paints I was able to splatter over the design.  I also very rarely use coloured card bases, but I was gifted these blue card bases, and I think it looks a lot better on there. It's also another  masculine card for me to give now.

Finding a snippet of this same card was harder but I was determined not to cut into a new sheet. The sentiment is from a Papertrey Ink stamp set.

You can see the shimmer a little better at this angle.

On another note - I did once go up in a hot air balloon about 1996. Here's a picture of the balloon that a relative took at the time.

Well this balloon card turned out just great Lynn. Love those gold splatters. The GT paints are amazing aren't they. Great masculine birthday card. xxx

PS: This post did not show in my reading list. I just hopped over to see you and there it was. Went back and refreshed my reading list . . . still nothing. Just letting you know. xxx

well done for persevering with this embossing folder. Re the commment from Sarn - I've been having problems with Blogger not updating my list when new work is posted by others. Oddly it doesn't happen with everyone on my list and does seem to be a bit random, hit or miss. Annoying nonetheless.

So very pretty and creative, I think I would be too 'chicken' to go up in a hot air balloon!!
Thank you for joining our challenge at Can You Handle The Pressure!

Its very satisfying to finally use up something we started years ago and turn it into a fabulous end result. I had a balloon ride for my 18th birthday in 1997
