Be bold or Italic

Our mid month reminder for the challenge at Tag-along (and ATCs) is here today with my DT makes. Our theme chosen by me is Add some Text, which as I love typewriters was always going to feature one somewhere. But, I have gone with two from my collection!

For my tag I used a piece of an old paper pad by Craft Asylum called Candy. I left the edge of the paper at the top for some interest and put airmail twine through it. I used a TH embossing folder which is of typewriter keys. I then swiped over it with a black ink pad adding a couple of postage stamps from Crafty Individuals and a Anna Griffin swirl. The typewriter is stamped and die cut from a set by Spellbinders. Coloured with metallic markers.

The ATC uses a Crafty Individuals stamp that came with Creative Stamping mag. I've actually found a version of it here. I added the text on the "paper" using a Crafty Roo stamp. I stamped parts of the stamp with Versafine Clair Hawthorn Rose and Weather Wood DI.

Don't forget for our winner a bundle of goodies suitable for creating ATC's.

Both the tag AND the ATC are fab Lynn. Loving the typewriters and how you embossed and coloured the lettering on the tag. I forget to use that technique, yet it’s so effective. xxx

Great use of the stamps and papers Lynn, I always think of you when I see mention of old typewriters so perfect items for your theme and one I enjoyed.

Two great projects to encourage entries into the challenge. The typewriter on the ATC is much like the one I used when I started work, which you can probably guess was a VERY long time ago 🤣. You may get this twice as it disappeared the first time before I'd posted it

I just love both your tag and ATC Lynn. You have reminded me I have a typewritter die which I now want to play with. I was a typographic typesetter many moons ago and have always loved a typewritter. Both makes are very inspiring.

Great tag and ATC, love all the script and the Vintage typewriter-I learnt to type on one of those at school!

Hi Lynne
Love your typewriter tag very, very much.
I have a very big soft spot for typescript fonts and typewriters.
I nearly bought an old typewriter from a charity store the other day for typing on my creations but then wondered whether you can even buy typewriter ribbons anymore and left it at the shop (but still keep thinking about it).
Love and hugs
Jules xoxo
