Blackout embossing
I'm not sure I've ever done this technique with patterned paper. I was inspired by Heidi the Yorkshire Crafter to give it a go. I used a piece of patterned paper from a pad from The Works, so no worries if it didn't work out, as very cheap!
I actually went over the debossing again with a blue ink pad as the black looked too dull. Matted and framed with 6x6 Maximum crafts die set and a plain sheet of paper from the same pad.
The sentiments are by Altenew (happy) and Chloe (wishes) cut from snippets below. The square left from the centre of the card I cut out the base for the dragonfly, then cut it again from a clean sheet of the same patterned paper.
Here's another view.
We visited Wroxeter - Roman city remains which was so interesting. This is the largest free standing roman wall in England.
Benthall Hall - National Trust with beautiful gardens and again so much interesting history provided by the guides.

Your photos are lovely too, only been to Ironbridge once, a great place to visit. Would like to go again- preferably without the dog next time, he was a nightmare as he could smell the river and was desperate to get in!

Thanks for sharing your holiday snaps. All very picturesque.
Thanks for coming to play in the Snippets Playground. See you in the treehouse later. x
A great card .. .. I think we will all be trying that technique now!
