Seaside and a sunflower
A double post from me today as we begin a new challenge at Allsorts and a mid month reminder for the challenge at We Love Stamping.
At Allsorts challenge Val has chosen the theme of Seaside or anything goes. I decided to use a Julie Nutting doll that hasn't seen ink - collecting these dolls is one thing, using them another! She comes with a little cover up, so I decided to stamp and fussy cut it and drape it over her shoulders.
The faux wood background is one I created a long time ago and this was a snippet left over. I had previously used it to hot foil a seahorse onto which you can see in the background but maybe not clear enough to be a focal point, so back to the box it went until now. I also had a seashell I had hot foiled and so I snuck that onto the tag too.
The words are from a TH Sizzix set and the charm is one I have had for years and years, it is hiding a little die cut sun from one of those £1 sets that you can buy. The starfish is from an old First edition die set.
Our prize is a collection of stamps for one winner from Stamp Addicts
My sunflower card is the reminder for my choice of theme of Summertime or anything goes at We Love Stamping challenge.
This is the Sizzix set I used, bought a few years ago in the Sizzix sale and first time seeing ink.
I used a piece of a gelli print where I had just printed a border for the background. I also managed to have a little left over for the sentiment background which is a Uniko stamp. The new versafine clair ink Carrot orange featured here with other yellow inks I already had. I decided it was bold enough to just go onto a piece of black card.
I'm entering this card into The Neglected Stuff challenge.
