LIM week 327 - Yellow and Grey
I had a quick look before I went out this morning as to the theme for the challenge at Less is More this week and saw it was Yellow and grey. I am not really a yellow person but I seem to be getting better with it as I get older.
Yellow roses came to mind and this tattered lace die that I hadn't yet used. I was intending to do red roses but thought I could use it to fit the theme. So that is what I did using different shades of grey for the background and to accent some of the leaves.
Then as I was tidying away (well moving stuff around on my desk!) I saw this snippet just crying out to be on a card. So I got the die and cut another yellow rose to place over the die cut and added a PB die cut for the sentiment.
That was going to be it, but I had put out this Altenew set of free stamps to remind me to play with them, and again I thought, ok - yellow rose. This is the result.
In between making cards I lost part of the die and had a bit of a hunt, seems a theme elsewhere now. Yesterday I spent three hours looking for lost keys in the garden. I had mowed the lawns and had loads of the conifer that was taken out of the garden the other day plus lovely spiky holy and pyracantha in the bin. I went round and round, looked in the bin, took some the cuttings out, did this several times until in the end I took the wheelie bin emptied it on the ground and did a fingertip search through everything, and there were the keys!!!! Shattered after that.
