LIM week 327 - Yellow and Grey

I had a quick look before I went out this morning as to the theme for the challenge at Less is More this week and saw it was Yellow and grey. I am not really a yellow person but I seem to be getting better with it as I get older.
Yellow roses came to mind and this tattered lace die that I hadn't yet used. I was intending to do red roses but thought I could use it to fit the theme. So that is what I did using different shades of grey for the background and to accent some of the leaves.
Then as I was tidying away (well moving stuff around on my desk!) I saw this snippet just crying out to be on a card. So I got the die and cut another yellow rose to place over the die cut and added a PB die cut for the sentiment.

That was going to be it, but I had put out this Altenew set of free stamps to remind me to play with them, and again I thought, ok - yellow rose. This is the result.
In between making cards I lost part of the die and had a bit of a hunt, seems a theme elsewhere now. Yesterday I spent three hours looking for lost keys in the garden. I had mowed the lawns and had loads of the conifer that was taken out of the garden the other day plus lovely spiky holy and pyracantha in the bin. I went round and round, looked in the bin, took some the cuttings out, did this several times until in the end I took the wheelie bin emptied it on the ground and did a fingertip search through everything, and there were the keys!!!! Shattered after that.

Lovely bright cards. I do like yellow and grey together. Glad you found your keys, think how annoyed you would have been if they hadn't been there after emptying the bin!

Wow, Linby, you've been so productive! These cards are absolutely gorgeous - all different, but all classy and stylish. The wreath and the flower on the first two cards are beautiful and the layers add a real feeling of depth. The Altenew rose is a stunner (how gorgeous are their flowers in general <3) and suits the colour scheme perfectly. A trio of beauties here! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Less is More :)

OMG Linby ! I don't want to repeat what my lovely teamie Esther said, but it is so true, your cards are just stunning and eye-catching ! I'm not either a yellow lover but seeing these wonders I reconcile myself with the yellow more and more! Your roses wreath is wonderful such as the single rose on this other card ! It only lacks the perfume ! And the Altenew rose just reminds me the one I have in my garden, absolutely gorgeous ! Thanks so much for sharing and playing along with us at Less is More !

Linby, these are all so pretty. I don't use yellow often but love the yellow/grey combo every time I see it. That die is so beautifully detailed and I love that you used two shades of grey with it. And the Altenew roses are always stunning, the single rose makes a perfect CAS card.
